I will not allow yesterday's success to lull me into today's complacency, for this is the greatest foundation of failure. -- Og Mandino

Wednesday 6:10AM ET: The video access issue has been fixed!  Sorry about that.

A while back (June 2010), you may recall we did a virtual office tour video.

Here’s an update with some recent changes, including the 65″ plasma that provides I suppose what could be described as the “ultimate market perspective”.

As I note in the brief video, you can rest assured that I still believe all one needs is an 11″ Sony Vaio screen, two charts, and an order entry platform!

As mentioned in recent posts, it’s the second toy I’ve bought in six years and a semi-reward for more than a decade of trading, 50 years of life (OK, call it an early birthday present), and getting daughter #1 through college.

So for those who have been screaming at me to do something for myself, this will hopefully suffice for another decade!

Friday Notes – Final Shopping Day

Posted by: Don Miller | Comments (0)

For cash-based traders, a reminder that today is the last day to get a current tax break on business expenses.

Sprucing up the office big-time at this end to ring in the new year with a few toys …. er, I mean equipment.

I’ll clue you in over the weekend :-) .

In the meantime …

OK, I couldn’t help but post a second edition today … just for kicks and giggles.  Here’s today’s earlier and more pertinent post if you missed it.

Especially after receiving a package with “1,000% Profits” printed in bold on the envelope.

Yet instead of boring you with the entire content, I’ll save us all some time by posting a few critical excerpts:

“Will hand us 1,000% profits in 2010″
“Stock-Picking Genius”
“Blockbuster”
“Blow Right Past”
“The Shares will go Ballistic”
“Big Money”
“Hottest Sector”
“Buyout Fever”
“Will Scream Higher”
“Truckload”
“Massive Profits”
“Viagra”
“Cure”

… and my favorite, “Take a big position and do it immediately.”

Egads.

Is this stuff still legal in this day and age?????

But it even gets better in that while the envelope said the stock “Will Hand Us 1,000% Profits”, it was followed by the first part of the enclosed letter stating “potentially blast through 1,000%”, and then ending with “could soon hand us 1,000% gains”.

I suppose if there’s anything worse than a liar, it’s a liar without conviction.

After all, at least be good at something!

Sigh.

Wednesday Notes – TMAR Day

Posted by: Don Miller | Comments Comments Off

Well, so far today has been a major league TMAR (Take Your Money & Run) day in the Tank as the lesser timeframe “salmon” trends have battled it out with the “whale” of an hourly uptrend.

In the meantime, if you haven’t caught this wonderful bluegrass rendition of “The Whipsaw Song” by trader and musician Ed Seykota, it’s worth a listen.

Or two.
